Sciencehired.com (Sciencehired) is a job platform for scientists in academia and industry. The Services offered by Sciencehired include the Sciencehired.com platform (“Website”) and all the features, content and applications within (collectively “Services”).


Terms of Use are legally binding for all users. Users include Members (those registered with the Website), Visitors (those browsing the Website) and those who use the Services for business purposes. Users that do not agree with the Terms of Use should leave the Website and discontinue the use of Services.


These Terms are accepted upon use of the Website and are further affirmed by Users during the registration process. Users can terminate their membership at any time, for any reason, by following the instructions on the Account settings page. The Terms of Use are binding even after termination of the membership.


Terms of Use can be subject to additions and modifications. Additions and modifications become effective upon posting on the Website. In case a particular term is not enforceable, this will not affect other terms.

The Website consists of publicly available data and content provided by Users. Users warrant that the information they submit is truthful, accurate and are solely responsible for its maintenance.


Sciencehired reserves the right to modify information provided by Users to ensure the quality of the content.


Users may only submit information they are allowed to legally store and publish. Users may not submit information that infringes any third party’s copyright, intellectual property or any other right.


In case a User finds information within the Website that infringes on his/her or any other third party’s rights, the User will notify Sciencehired before taking legal action. Sciencehired will examine the objectionable information and remove it if necessary.


Sciencehired has no obligation to monitor the disputes between the Users and is not liable for costs that may occur through legal action.


User’s profile and the information within are protected by a password chosen by the User during the registration process. Users agree they will not disclose their password to any third party. Users are responsible for the maintenance and any use of their account.


All information contained within the Website may only be accessed manually by a natural person.

Sciencehired database, the code running the Website, design, logos and other graphics are protected by copyright and are property of Sciencehired.


Sciencehired does not claim ownership or copyright to any content posted by Users. Users agree to license their content under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0) License. Under this license, Users retain ownership of the copyright for their content, but let others remix, tweak, and build upon their work even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit the respective User and license their new creations under identical terms.


Users can post only content that does not violate privacy rights or copyright of any third party. If the User has permission to share content on the Website which is copyrighted under a license other than CC BY-SA 3.0 License, the original copyright license applies. The User shall indicate the type of copyright license and the license owner when uploading such content.

Users may not misuse the Services. Misuses include but are not limited to:

  • insulting other Users;
  • promoting racism, hatred, harassment etc.;
  • posting content that violates proprietary rights, any law or contains nudity, violence, offensive subject matter, computer viruses, or links to sites with such content;
  • promoting false or misleading information, engaging in fraud, including impersonating other Users;
  • unsolicited mass emailing (“spamming”);
  • commercial endeavours, including advertising of commercial products or services, without prior consent of Sciencehired;
  • bulk retrieval of other Users’ profile data (“data harvesting”);
  • any automated use of the system;
  • all kinds of malicious attacks on science.hr technical systems or networks;
  • using the Services in a manner inconsistent with any applicable law or regulation.

Sciencehired does not guarantee that the provided information is accurate or trustworthy.


Sciencehired has no responsibility for monitoring the Services for inappropriate content or conduct. However, if such content or conduct is brought to our attention we will examine the claim and take appropriate action.


The Website may contain links to other sites. Sciencehired does not endorse and is not responsible for the content of other websites.


Sciencehired is not responsible or liable for any damage (material or immaterial, including personal injury or death) which incurred through the use or non-use of the Services.


Sciencehired is not liable for copyright infringement or violation of any third party’s rights.


Sciencehired can discontinue the Services or their parts at any time.


Sciencehired reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to restrict, suspend or exclude some Users and remove any content (including private messages), with or without prior notice and without liability.

Job posting conditions are part of the Terms of Use.

Applicable law is the law of the European Union. No other laws apply.
